Pre-orders for WWE 2K22 are expected to start soon, and the game appears to be a cross-gen release, meaning it will be playable on both last-gen and new-gen consoles.
The previous few major WWE games, particularly WWE 2K20, have left a lot to be desired. The game was widely lambasted for its clumsy gameplay and terrifying graphic faults, among other things. Because of the poor reception, 2K decided to delay the 2021 release and regroup for a relaunch in 2022. According to what we’ve heard thus far, WWE 2K22’s devs have made significant progress.
The fact that Rey Mysterio is on the cover of WWE 2K22 comes as no surprise, given that the game was rumored to have a Career Showcase for the Superstar. Typically, Superstars who appear in WWE 2K games’ Showcase appear on the covers of those games. In previous installments of the franchise, 2K has followed this approach.
