Worlds 2023 Play-Ins: Check out the results of the Play-In Stage Draw for League of Legends World Championship 2023 – With all regional tournaments concluded in the League of Legends esports calendar, only one grand international event remains—World Championship 2023. Out of the 22 participating teams, we already know the 21 teams that have already qualified. The remaining slot will be given to the winning team between the Golden Guardians and Team BDS series that will be held on Oct. 9.
After the LEC Season Finals, the Worlds 2023 Play-In Stage Draw was held today. Here, the teams that had qualified for the Play-In Stage got drafted into different groups.

Here are the first matchups of the Worlds 2023 Play-In Stage:
- GAM Esports vs LOUD
- PSG Talon vs Rainbow7
- CTBC Flying Oyster vs DetonatioN FocusMe
- Team Whales vs Worlds Qualifying Series winner (either Golden Guardians or Team BDS)
All the teams that have qualified for the Play-In Stage are teams from the minor regions that have won their respective tournaments. Only the last spot will be taken by the western team that will win in the Worlds Qualifying Series. The fourth seeds of the LCS and LEC regions (Golden Guardians and Team BDS respectively) will fight in a best-of-5 series to determine which team will go to this year’s World Championship.
With the conclusion of the Play-Ins Draw, the upcoming Worlds 2023 tournament is now a month away. This is due to players from many eastern teams participating in the League of Legends tournament at the Asian Games. The western region teams can use this time to prepare so that they can have a better chance at winning the Summoner’s Cup this year.
