Worlds 2021: League of Legends World Championship will be held in Europe. This year, the League of Legends 2021 World Championship was scheduled to take place in five different cities of China ( Shanghai, Wuhan, Chengdu, Qingdao, and Shenzhen) where various stages of the tournament would take place. The city of Shenzhen was set to host the finals of this World Championship on November 6th, 2021. But due to pandemic effects and traveling restrictions and many more circumstances, Riot Games decides to shift the League of Legends World Championship aka Worlds 2021 to Europe.   A total of 24 teams from around the globe and from different regions are competing in this event. This tournament carries an initial prize pool of $ 2.255 Million USD and it is expected to increase as the item sales increases within the game. Here are the teams qualified from different countries to participate in the 2021 League of Legends World Championship.

LCK (Korea)

  • DWG KIA: They got qualified on 14th August by getting the required number of points to qualify i.e.; their combined points from Summer and Spring.
  • Gen.G: The team got qualified through the LCK Regional finals.
  • T1: The team got qualified through the LCK Regional finals.

One more team is still to be decided to qualify for the championship.

LCS (North America)

  • Team Liquid: They got qualified on 15th August by winning their second series against TSM and getting top three positions in playoffs.
  • 100 Thieves: They got qualified on 14th August by winning their first series against Evil Geniuses and getting top three positions in playoffs.
  • Cloud9: Last team to get qualify from the LCS 2021 Summer

LEC (Europe)

  • MAD Lions: They got qualified on 14th August by winning their first series against G2 Esports and getting top three positions in playoffs.
  • Rogue: They got qualified on 13th August by winning their first series against Misfits and getting top three positions in playoffs.
  • Fnatic: They got qualified from the LEC 2021 Summer.
