The League of Legends World Championship 2021 is all set to take place with 22 teams participating from 12 different regions, that qualified for the tournament. The Worlds 2021 tournament is no longer going to be played in China due to the covid-19 delta variant’s threat and travel restrictions in the country. Hence, it has shifted the location to Europe which seems like the only feasible and safe option to organize the tournament this year.

PRIZE POOL AND FORMAT FOR THE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP:
The initial prize pool announced by Riot Games for the League of Legends world championship 2021 is 2.225 million US Dollars. The distribution of prizes and the “championship skin” hasn’t been officially revealed yet. The world 2021 tournament will feature its traditional 3 staged format which includes: Play ins, Group stage, and knockouts respectively.
