Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021: Overview, teams, schedule, and stream

Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021: Everything that you need to know. On 27th October, the League of Legends Wild Rift developers revealed further information related to the Horizon Cup 2021. This is Wild Rift’s first international tournament and teams from eight regions will battle it out to be crowned the champions of this event.

Group Formation

The following rules were taken into consideration while forming the groups.

1. Two teams from the same country/region will not be in the same group.
2. Each group has been formed to give the greatest representation to each region.

Format of Horizon Cup 2021

The tournament will proceed in the following way:

• Group Stages will be held from 13th November to 17th November.
  • Two groups, A and B have been formed
• The teams in each group will play against each other in a single round-robin of the best of 3 match series.
  •  The top 3 teams from each group will advance into the Knockout stage.
• The schedule of the Knockout Stage is as follows:
  • Quarter-Finals will be on 19th November, Semi-Finals will be on 20th November and the Finals will be on 21st November.
  • The top team of each group will automatically qualify for the Semi-Finals directly.
  • The teams in 2nd and 3rd position will fight against the ones from the other group in a best of 5 match series in the Quarter-Finals.
  •  The winning teams will then face the group toppers in the Semi-Finals in a best of 5 match series.
  •  The winners will advance to the Finals where they will fight in a best of 7 match series to determine the champions of the Horizon Cup 2021.

Broadcast and Streaming Schedule

This is the broadcast and stream schedule of the Horizon Cup 2021:

1. Group Stages: It will be held from 13th to 17th November. The stream will start at 2 AM PST/ 6 PM GMT (+8).
2. Quarter-Finals: It will be held on 19th November. The stream will start at 2 AM PST/ 6 PM GMT (+8).
3. Semi-Finals: It will be held on 20th November. The stream will start at 2 AM PST/ 6 PM GMT (+8).
4. Finals: The final event will be on 21st November and the stream will start at 4 AM PST/ 8 PM GMT(+8).
