Wild Rift developers will distribute Ranked Rewards as compensation for a recent issue- Many League of Legends Wild Rift players were confused when the Ranked Season ended early on 15th March. There was an issue where the Ranked Rewards screen had disappeared from the landing page and also from the Ranked tab inside the game. It happened due to a misconfiguration inside the game due to which, the Season Rewards track had been set to end earlier than intended. This caused the loss of Ranked Rewards progressions of many players inside the game.
Wild Rift developers will distribute Ranked Rewards as compensation for a recent issue
Many players who logged in between 08:00 PT to 21:00 PT on 15th March had found that their Ranked Rewards track completely disappeared. The developers have stated that any rank gains or losses, along with any owned Ranked Coins will remain unaffected. But unfortunately, the Ranked Rewards progress may have been disrupted. Those players who did not log in during these hours will continue to have a normal Ranked Rewards progression.
The Wild Rift dev team are going to compensate the players affected by this misconfiguration in the following ways:
- All the Ranked Rewards progress for the players affected by this misconfiguration will be reset.
- Affected players will have to start earning rewards on the track again from the beginning. The Ranked Coins in the game can be earned as normal. If the player has any duplicates of content that have been unlocked prior to the reset, it will be converted to Poro Coins.
- At the end of the current season, the affected players will also receive the rewards from the next three milestones that they had achieved before the reset. For example, if you reached level 8 on the Ranked Rewards track before this misconfiguration, the Wild Rift dev team will grant them rewards from levels 9, 10, and 11. If the players are successful in climbing past the milestone that they had reached previously, the dev team will still credit them the same 3 levels worth of Ranked Coins, and convert content to Poro Coins.
- The League of Legends Wild Rift dev team will also be issuing a one-time grant of Ranked Coins equivalent to the daily cap limit.
The Wild Rift dev team has apologized for this misconfiguration issue to the players, especially those who have been engrossed in the end-of-season climb. They hope that these rewards will be some form of compensation for the players who have lost their progress.
