Wild Rift Champions Korea 2022 Preseason Invitational: T1 win at the Grand Finals

Game 1

T1 went with Garen, Graves, Akali, Varus, and Rakan. KT Rolster picked Gragas, Jax, Riven, Galio, and Ziggs. Both teams played safe in the early game and focused on taking objectives. The first kill was taken by T1 just before the 8th minute as they picked off Galio but had to trade their Garen. In later team fights, T1 champions had a better positioning and command which helped them to kill KT’s team members.

While KT managed to steal the first Baron, T1 took all the Dragon objectives and was able to get a massive lead. They won the game in the 22nd minute with an 18-10 kill score.

Game 2

T1 picked Gare, Camille, Akali, Malphite, and Senna. KT Rolster went with Renekton, Gragas, Riven, Ziggs, and Galio. This time, both teams played aggressively from the start by ganking and killing champions even under turrets. T1 was better at ambushes in this game which helped them to pick off crucial targets and win in team fights.

T1 got all the Dragon objectives in this game also and won the game with a massive lead in the 19th minute with a 13-6 kill score.

Game 3

At match point, T1 chose Akali, Graves, Garen, Senna, and Malphite. KT tried something new by picking Kha’Zix, Ziggs, Diana, Renekton, and Gragas. KT looked a bit rushed in this game as they picked correct team fights but miscommunication or bad decisions made them come out on the losing side. T1 was also able to constantly push for the back lines with Akali, Malphite, and Garen. This constant pressuring helped T1 to ace KT in the 21 minutes and win the game with a 8-5 kill score.

Results

Thus, T1 became the champions of the Wild Rift Champions Korea 2022 Preseason Invitational. The results of the tournament are as follows.
1st place: T1 – $ 12,611
2nd place: KT Rolster – $ 8,408
