WePlay Esports Announces WePlay Ultimate Fighting League Season 1

The Ukrainian esports organizer, WePlay Esports announced WePlay Ultimate Fighting League Season 1, a tournament of fighting games. WePlay Ultimate Fighting League Season 1 will feature a total of three games and a $150,000USD prize pool for the event.

In December 2020, WePlay Esports successfully hosted WePlay Dragon Temple, a Mortal Kombat 11 Lan event. Fourteen fighters from all around the world fought for the grand prize and title. In the finals, Oleksandr Usyk who is the undisputed world heavyweight champion presented the new league of fighting games.

Games

After the great success of last year’s Mortal Kombat 11 event, WePlay Esports decided to add more games this time. WePlay Ultimate Fighting League Season 1 will feature Tekken 7 and SOULCALIBUR VI along with the Mortal Kombat 11. This time tournament and content will be three times bigger with the addition of new games.

Schedule and dates

WePlay Ultimate Fighting League Season 1 will be starting from March 25th, 2021. As we know there are three game’s tournaments that will be organized in this league, which will not be held simultaneously. Each game’s tournament will take place on different days as like follow one another. WePlay Ultimate Fighting League Season 1 is set to end on April 11th, 2021. Let’s take a look at the dates of the  tournaments separately for each game, here are the precise dates:

  • Mortal Kombat 11 – March 25th-28th
  • Soulcalibur VI – April 1st-4th
  • Tekken 7 – April 8th-11th
Prize Pool

WePlay Ultimate Fighting League Season 1 will feature a massive prize pool of $150,000USD which is equally divided into all three tournaments.

  • Mortal Kombat 11 – $50,000
  • Soulcalibur VI – $50,000
  • Tekken 7 – $50,000
Venue

Just like last year’s WePlay Dragon Temple, WePlay Ultimate Fighting League Season 1 will be held at the WePlay Esports Arena Kyiv. It will be a Lan event but there will be no audience present at the event.
