WePlay! And Epic Announces “Omega League” Featuring Dota2

WePlay!Esports and Epic Esports together announced “OMEGA LEAGUE” an online tournament featuring Dota2. It will be a 7-week long event starting from July 20th, 2020 to September 6th 2020 where the teams will be battling for a huge prize pool of $550,000.

Omega League has two regions of participants – Europe & America. Open Qualifiers will be starting from 20th July & main event will manifest itself from 1st August. The event will be broadcasted live in multiple languages. English broadcast can be seen live in WePlay! Esports and RuHub will broadcast in Russian.

European Format & Prize Pool
  • Immortal Division ($500,000)

Total twelve teams are going to compete in Immortal division. Where they will be divided into 2 equal groups. All qualifier matches will be played with BO3 and Grand Finals would have BO5 matches.

Teams that lose within the Play-in Stage advance to Divine Playoffs Upper-Bracket Round 2.The teams that take sixth place in their group advance to Divine Playoffs Upper-Bracket Round 1.

  • Divine Division ($50,000)

This division starts with two groups of six squads. Divine Playoffs is a double-elimination bracket. European region group stage will we held from August 10 to 26 and playoffs will be held on September 2th-5th.

Americas Format & Prize Pool
  • Divine Division ($31,500)

Ten teams will participate in the group stage of Divine Division. They will be divided into two groups of five. All matches square measure BO3, and Grand Finals square measure BO5.

Americas region group stage will start from August 17-26 and playoffs will be held on August 28 – September 5.

  • Ancient Division ($8,500)

Eight teams will participate in the group stage of the Ancient Division. They will be divided into two groups of four. All matches square measure BO3, and Grand Finals square measure  BO5. The rest of the teams will get eliminated from the tournament.
