VCT Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen: Here are top Plays from Day 1 and Highlights

The first day of the VCT 2022 Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen was jam-packed with great gaming and international competitiveness. Three straight matches were played on the first day of the tournament’s group stage. Day 1 of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 Stage 2 Masters competition included two significant upsets in addition to a predicted victory. With only one remaining match before teams start getting eliminated, three of the four group stage matches were completed on the first day.

The opening game of the day featured DRX and Northeption, and it lived up to expectations for both teams, with DRX taking the lead but Northeption fighting back. Bind ultimately proved to be a map that DRX was far more at ease with, winning it 13-1.

LOUD was outperformed by KRU Esports on the second map, Haven. Keznit pulled off a masterful Ace with Raze and used his aggressive tactics to help the squad win multiple rounds. Even after a narrow victory on the opening map, KRÜ’s 5/6 pistol round record helped them defeat the Stage 1 Masters finalists in a comeback series.

Last but not least, the game between Guild Esports and OpTic Gaming was equally as fascinating as the previous one. Icebox initially had a lead over Guild, but OpTic fought back to bring Icebox close. However, Guild triumphed and extended OpTic’s losing run against teams from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa regions. OpTic Gaming will play LOUD in an elimination match that Guild Esports forced them into.

DRX, KRU Esports, and Guild Esports each qualified for the winners match after the first day of the VCT Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen. LOUD and OpTic will compete in Group A’s elimination game. Northeption will compete against the loser of the contest between FunPlus Phoenix and Xerxia in Group B’s elimination match. On the second day of the VCT LAN competition, KRU Esports and Guild Esports will face off in a game.
