With a defeat against Cerberus Esports, Enigma Gaming’s adventure in the VCT APAC Stage 2 Challengers has come to an end. After a nail-biting match, the South Asian team was defeated 2-1 in their best-of-three series. The series’ three games were all decided by a razor-thin margin, and spectators were treated to a fascinating series overall. Enigma Gaming was the first team to be eliminated from the competition after this defeat.

The Valorant Champions Tour APAC Challengers Play-In kicked off on June 9th, with Enigma Gaming from South Asia taking on the rest of Asia. Unfortunately for South Asian/Indian supporters, the Indian Team couldn’t close out an Elimination game against Cerberus Esports, losing 1-2.

The AMD Skyesports Valorant Champions Series (SCS), the qualifier event in South Asia for the VCT APAC Stage 2 Challengers, saw Enigma Gaming finish second. They were defeated in the Grand Final by Global Esports, however, they qualified for the APAC Stage 2 Challengers Play-In. In Valorant’s history, it was their first international appearance.

Made in Thailand, the third seed from Thailand, was Enigma Gaming’s first opponent. The game progressed on three different maps. Enigma gaming was smashed by opponents during the nerve-wracking period despite controlling the game till halftime. 1-2 Engima’s loss to MITH placed them in the Lower Brackets, where they faced Cerberus, who were considered underdogs in comparison to the major names. Fans were expecting Enigma gaming to pull out a comfortable win against Cerberus and advance further against Alter Ego.

Unfortunately, Cerberus Gaming defeated Enigma Gaming 1-2 in their elimination game. Despite the fact that this was their first time representing South Asia and competing against international competition, they put forth a strong showing. Enigma Gaming has been ousted from the Valorous Champions Tour APAC qualifiers as a result of the loss. With this, there is only a single South Asia representative remaining in APAC – fighting against SEA big names.
