VCT 2021 Masters Berlin: Vivo Keyd survives the elimination match against ZETA Division. The elimination match of Group B was to be played between the Japanese Zeta Division and the Brazilian Vivo Keyd. What’s interesting is both these regions have two teams each and all four of these teams are playing the elimination rounds. That means we’ll see this region match up of Brazil vs Japan twice, one in this match and one tomorrow in group C’s match.
Map Veto:
- Vivo Keyd bans Haven
- Zeta division bans Icebox
- Vivo Keyd selects Breeze; Zeta division defends
- Zeta division selects Split; Vivo Keyd defends
- Vivo Keyd selects Ascent; Zeta division attacks
Map 1:
The very first map became very interesting as we got to see Breeze in the play.VK started off pretty decent in the attack by winning the pistol and the consecutive round. Soon, ZETA retaliates as they get the full buy round to get to a score of 2-1. After this point, the first half was completely taken over by VK. Thanks to some brilliant pushes, wipeouts, and post-plant utilities, they won every single round except two and closed the first half with a fabulous scoreline of 9-3. VCT 2021 Masters Berlin
The last round in the first half was won by ZETA and that gave a bit of hope to the team as they switched to the roles of the attackers. Nevertheless, all hopes were shattered when VK won the pistol round and the next one and the next one as well to close things off with the final score of 13-3. Vivo Keyd’s duelist VK heat really stole the show with 24 kills. Talk about defending with the operator or dashing in with the blade storm, this Jett was a pain for the opponents the entire time. VCT 2021 Masters Berlin: Vivo Keyd survives the elimination match against ZETA Division
Map 2:
ZETA’s selection split was to be played and they better win this one to force a decider, otherwise, they are going home. As the map starts we see them crumble under pressure as Vivo Keyd takes a 2-0 lead. The third round also slips out of a very favored position into the laps of VK, just like most of the upcoming rounds since we end the first half at 10-2. Something wasn’t playing out right on the sides of ZETA and the problem was continuously hovering above them. VCT 2021 Masters Berlin
Although the pistol and semi-buy round is won by ZETA in the second half, the streak does not last long and VK strikes back once again to regain authority. That was it. That was over for ZETA as three consecutive rounds for Vivo Keyd got them the map win and the match win. The final scoreline of 13-4. Once again a Jett domination, VK heat top frags with 23 kills.
