VCT 2021 Masters Berlin: Sentinels Started their VCT Campaign over Crushing G2. Sentinels outshined EU representation’s G2 in the B03 series with a score of 2-1. With this win Sentinels move further in upper bracket seeds. It was series of turn around during all three maps. Interestingly, both teams win on their own respective picked maps. Map 1: Split
Map 1 of the most anticipated match between Sentinels Vs G2 started with Split. The split was chosen by Sentinels. Sentinels as an attacker’s sides were pretty dominant from the start. We have seen some insane operator shots from the sides of Shahzam despite being on Attacker’s sides. After the first half, Sentinels scores 8-4 in their favor, Considering Split as a Defender favored map.

After the swap, Mostly fight contested on mid-side and ropes. We have also witnessed Shahzam’s ACE, which was the first ace of VCT masters Berlin so far. Whether it was Operator, Vandal, or even Classic, Shahzam Showed brilliance with every weapon. In the second half, G2 was only able to secure 2 rounds in their favor. Sentinels emerged victorious in their own first map with a score of 13-6. Shahzam was the top performer for his team with a total of 26 freaking kills and a massive ACS score of 369.

MAP 2: ICEBOX
Icebox was G2’s pick and proving that they started very well by securing 4 initial rounds in their favor. Tenz on Reyna was only up to mark on the first half. At the end of the first half score stood at 8-4 in favor of G2 esports.

The second half pushed sentinels on the attacker’s sides and they gave us a glimpse of what G2 has done in the first half with winning back-to-back 4 rounds. But keloqz some overpowered operator shots started to turn the table. After series of back and forth, G2 secured Icebox and keep alive their hopes on 3rd and last map of the game.

MAP 3: Haven
After leveling on the score of 1-1, games come in a decider map of Haven. G2 was in complete miserable position as an attacking side. G2 was struggling to penetrate Sentinels wall of defense, considering very often they succeeded to enter sites. Tenz with Operator was out of control for G2.

At the end of the first half, Sentinels were leading with score of 11-1. Despite trailing with such a margin, G2 shown some signs of a comeback by winning 7 rounds in the second half. But Sentinels were not far enough to close the series. Finally at the end of 21 round sentinels claims victory with a score of 13-8 at VCT 2021 Masters Berlin day 3.
