VCT 2021 Masters Berlin: Japanese Crazy Racoon defeated Brazilian HL (Haven liberty) by a score of 2-1: Crazy Raccoon finally scored their first win at VCT Masters Three Berlin today in Crazy Racoon vs Haven Liberty, after a tough start in international VALORANT play. Japan’s team defeated Brazil’s Havan Liberty in two maps to become the year’s first team to qualify for the Champions League.
Gambit humiliated Crazy Raccoon in their Group C opener. Havan Liberty, on the other side, suffered a humiliating loss at the hands of 100 Thieves. In the Group C eliminator, the two teams faced off for a chance to advance to the next round of the tournament. The series began with Havan Liberty’s selection of Haven. On the three-site map, both teams seemed at ease, trading rounds throughout the first half. After a few initial rushes, Havan began to slow down their assault executes, but neth’s explosive Raze play and Medusa’s lockdown Cypher defense kept Havan from capitalizing on early frags. MAP 2: SPLIT
Crazy Raccoon went for a fast B down the middle, with neth grabbing the 1v2 post-plant for the pistol victory. On the A execute, CR was a touch late, with Havan Liberty holding off the Attackers to establish their Split account. HL won their third-round game after a solid defense of the A site, with the half ending 9-3 in CR’s favor. HL’s swiftly rotated B execution was thwarted by Fisker’s double kill on the B rafters ropes. With a double kill on the Blade Storm, Byeon “Munchkin” Sang-beom opened the 17th round.
