In the first map, Gambit came out swinging. Vision Strikers had little time to react, and nAts spent the entire map hunting down and shooting anything that moved. Gambit maintained their momentum in the first half of Bind, only losing two rounds to Vision Strikers. Bind’s second half was over in the blink of an eye. Gambit won their first map, 13-2, three rounds after the half, and prepared for their second map, Split.

MAP 2: split
When Lee “k1Ng” Seung-won was put in for Kim “Lakia” Jong-min, Vision Strikers began to wake up. On their attack, Gambit didn’t get anything done. They continued getting shut down by Vision Strikers before they could even get the spike down. At the end of the first half, the score was 8-4.

The second half of Split began with a boom, literally, thanks to Nikita “d3ffo” Sudakov’s performance. A cloud of smoke billowed up after one of the shooters was killed. But it was no problem for d3ffo, who was able to get another kill by shooting into it blindly.

map 3: ICEBOX
On Icebox, Vision Strikers came out strong on map three, but the game began to trend toward Gambit midway through the first half. They won seven consecutive rounds, but halftime seemed to slow their momentum as Vision Strikers began to put up a fight and take more rounds.

Vision Strikers were frequently pushed out of position by Gambit, allowing them to rapidly take down players. Vision Strikers were unable to adjust quickly enough due to d3ffo with the Operator and Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov, and Gambit won the map 13-8, sending Vision Strikers home and advancing to the semifinals.
