VCT 2021 Masters Berlin: Gambit Esports Won Spot in Playoffs after Defeating Crazy Raccoon: By overcoming Crazy Raccoon in today’s Group C deciding match, Gambit Esports has won a spot in the VCT Masters Berlin playoffs. They’ll play in the playoffs alongside seven other VALORANT teams, including Envy, the top seed in Group C. In the Group C elimination match, Crazy Raccoon defeated Havan Liberty, gaining a rematch against Gambit. Crazy Raccoon failed to win a map today despite doing substantially better than in the first match.
MAP 1: ASCENT
Crazy Raccoon dominated the first six rounds of Ascent, Gambit’s map choice. In a one-vs-two scenario, Crazy Raccoon’s neth helped the squad win the sixth round with an astounding 2K, eliminating the final two Gambit players. However, in the first half, Gambit won five of the last six rounds, keeping the game within two rounds.

Unfortunately for Crazy Raccoon, they were unable to replicate their great offensive performance in the second half, winning only one round. Gambit’s nAts tied the game with a 3K, allowing his side to recover and sustain momentum. Ascension was defeated 13-8 by Gambit.

MAP 2: ICEBOX
Crazy Raccoon didn’t let this deter them on the second map, Icebox, as they got off to a strong start once more. In the first half, Crazy Raccoon won eight rounds, but Gambit made them earn every victory. Ade saved the sixth round for his side by winning a one-vs-two situation, maintaining their great lead.

Gambit fought back strong in the second half, forcing the game into overtime once more. The overtime rounds, on the other hand, were quite uneventful. Gambit took two rounds in a row to win the map 14-12 and the series 2-0.
