VCT 2021 Masters Berlin: SMB VCT’s Journey comes to end after being defeated from Acend: Today’s match between SMB vs Acend was suspenseful, but Acend came out on top in the end, and will now face 100 Thieves in the VCT Masters Berlin bracket playoffs. Acend’s victory has improved their prospects of earning an automatic spot at VCT Champions. If they can go far enough in this VALORANT event, they will be awarded Circuit Points, which will allow them to compete for the title of Champion. On the other hand, SuperMassive Blaze had to end their journey at VCT 2021 Stage 3 Masters Berlin.

MAP 1: ascent
SMB looked excellent on the first map on Ascent. Acend struggled to complete any activities. SMB won practically every peek and had such a good read on Acend that the map ended 13-6 in their favor. Throughout the first map, the announcers debated if Acend was having a poor map and underperforming, or if SMB were really that good at Ascent.

MAP 2: BIND
On Bind, Acend was able to turn things around. They dominated the first six rounds of the match, winning 9-3 at halftime. On the second map, Mehmet “cNed” Yazpek and IGL Patryk “starxo” Kopczynski stood out with K/D/A of 21/11/10 and 20/12/8, respectively. Acend won the map 13-7, advancing them to the third.

map 3: split
Things took a turn for the worse in Split. SMB dominated on map one, and Acend pounded on map two, but Split was a difficult match that the players had to fight until the final end. SMB was able to win a few rounds that were not to their advantage, and Acend responded with some clutch moves of their own. When Batuhan “russ” Malgaç tore Acend apart, the score was 9-8. Vlad “Kiles” Shvets found himself in a one-vs-two predicament but managed to close out the round with a double kill. With this round SMB vs Acend concluded and SMB had to end their further journey in VCT 2021 Masters Berlin
