Fans should now update their PC to the latest version of windows to continue playing the Valorant game. Microsoft has previously offered a free upgrade to windows 10. We have seen most of the players either playing the game on windows 10 or windows 11. There are sadly a few who haven’t upgraded their system as it does not support the PC configuration. So they have to switch their operating system to Linux or something like that.
Valorant’s Official Page Says, “Starting March 14, VALORANT/Vanguard will end support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 for security reasons. By switching support to the newer version of Windows, we can take advantage of the latest security features and patches–making it harder on cheaters.” This tweet has confirmed the news and Fans are now either upgrading the system or switching to some other Operating System.

This move by Riot Games is not very new, as many software companies have done this before. The older windows versions were more vulnerable to security breaches and exploits, which can be exploited by hackers and cheaters. The software has previously faced many issues due to the older versions of windows, so Riot has acknowledged it and come up with this update.
So this is all we have for the Fans, We don’t know if this is good news or bad one. Let us wait and see what happens after this update and more security features Riot games will introduce. Stay tuned with us for more such updates.
