Riot Games has released the VALORANT Champions Tour Masters Reykjavík 2021 Stage 2 prize pool, format, rulebook, and much more. The Masters event is set to start from 24th May to 30th May 2021 where the top 10 VALORANT teams in the world will compete with each other for a massive prize pool of $600,000 USD. The VCT 2021 stage 2 masters will be a double-elimination tournament where all matches will be the best of three series except the grand final, which will be the best of five. All maps will be played in the event except the Breeze.
BRACKET SEEDING
The winning teams from the two regions Sentinals and Team Liquid, North America and Europe respectively were directly seeded into the second round. The remaining teams were randomly seeded with the requirement that teams from the same region could not be put on the same side of the bracket in order to avoid matching against each other in the initial rounds. Fnatic will play against KRU Esports and Version1 against Crazy Racoon in their respective first matches. Upper Bracket Quarterfinals will feature Team Vikings vs X10 Esports, Ying Sharks vs NUTURN. Sentinels will play the winner of Fnatic vs. KRU, and Team Liquid will play the winner of V1 vs. Crazy Racoon.
PRIZE POOL
VCT 2021 Stage 2 Masters feature a massive prize pool of $600,000 USD, every team will earn a minimum of $15,000. Besides this, each team will get the opportunity to earn Circuit Points. The prize money distribution is as follows:
