Fans of Valorant have gotten a first glimpse at the upcoming eighth map Pearl, which has some resemblance to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive game Inferno. Valorant’s newest map, Fracture, was added to the shooter in September 2021, but it’s been a while. Since then, shooter fans have been excitedly anticipating the release of a new map. Thankfully, Valorant Episode 5 Act 1 will put a stop to the wait, since it will include a new map located in Lisbon, Portugal, according to sources. Valorant Upcoming Map 8
To begin, if you’re unfamiliar with the word pearl, which appears in the headline of this post, it’s a datamined codename for Valorant’s upcoming map. Following the release of Patch 4.11, it was originally released by dataminers such as ValorLeaks early last week. Riot Games has all but confirmed that a new map for Valorant Episode 5 is on the way. The name of the map has been revealed by ValorLeaks as “Pearl.” This information was obtained through a teaser released on June 14 and a subsequent leak: Valorant Upcoming Map 8

This could indicate that the new Valorant map will be entirely underwater, and many fans of the game are drawing parallels between it and the underwater metropolis of Rapture in the BioShock series. While Riot hasn’t revealed much else about the future map, we’ve seen plenty of leaks in the past that can give us a good indication of what the new map will look like.
Underneath the official poster is Portuguese text that says something about waves and a city. Previous rumours suggested that map eight’s principal location will be Lisbon. As a result, the map is most likely placed in what’s left of Portugal or off its coast. With its maps, Riot Games has achieved a balance of tropical, icy, dusty, and urban environments, as well as future landscapes. An undersea city would be a unique concept. When a mystery man named Oran McEneff described a new place, the geo-dome gimmick was teased for Fracture.
