VALORANT Twitch Streamer PROD faces ban: Amidst the mass exodus of Twitch streamers, the streaming platform has struck down with another ban this week. Yesterday morning while conducting a live stream, PROD was hit with a ban in front of 10,000 viewers.

The Valorant Twitch steamer voiced the term “f**k it” in the live stream and this was against the Twitch Ban Policy. Although such policies are considered bizarre by many streamers twitch still maintains a strong norm on discriminatory words and slurs. The ban solely happened as a result of misinterpretation of the term “Fuck it” which occurred to them as a homophobic F slur.

Likewise, Twitch streamer Shanks faced a ban in the community for almost the same reason the previous day. Jake lucky in his tweet mentioned the mishappening with both the streamers saying,
“On back-to-back days Twitch has banned Valorant streamers PROD and Shanks for saying “f*ck it” while thinking they said the homophobic f slur. Shanks was quickly unbanned for it, PROD remains banned.”

Twitch ban policies are the primary reason for streamers switching to other platforms. Ludwig in a recent announcement shared a video taking a dig at the purple platform with the same, talking about DMCA bans on YouTube.

Although fans and viewers have reacted to the ban in favor of PROD labeling twitch as an unfair banning system and demanding to remove the ban, no firm decision has been made on the part of Twitch. Thousands of comments are pouring in, check out some below:

Even though PROD’s ban was an error on Twitch’s part, the ban is yet to be revoked. Actions like this on the platform’s part can propel streamers to venture towards other options to make their streaming career smoother.
