Changes in Map Breeze
On Breeze’s map, players will instantly notice the first change. Breeze was brought back by the need for defenders to commit a player to retain that particular map spot. Riot seems to have recognised how this alteration will affect the map.
A corresponding modification was noticed in the most recent Lotus map update for Episode 8 Act 1. The purpose of this modification is to improve player strategy options and gameplay dynamics.
Agent Skye witnessed major changes
VALORANT Patch 8.01 brings significant nerfs to Skye, changing the core of her abilities. Guiding Light can no longer recharge over time, limiting players to two flashes per round instead of three. Additionally, the flash now automatically activates at its end, eliminating its use as a decoy.
The ultimate ability, Seekers, provides opponents with a yellow warning indicator when close, adding a strategic element. These changes aim to make Skye’s abilities more deliberate, introducing risks and considerations for players.
Change Brought to Agent Iso
The “Double Trap” ability for Iso has received significant enhancements. The duration of the shootable orb post-kill has been extended from 2 to 3 seconds. The initial buff and shield duration following shooting the orb has been increased from 15 to 20 seconds.
However, the width of the shield has been narrowed down from 120 to 100 points. Additionally, Iso’s “Contingency” ability now costs less, with the cost reduced from 250 to 200. These adjustments aim to boost Iso’s effectiveness, providing players with more strategic options and a cost-efficient ability.
Some minor changes to Raze
Raze’s blast pack audio has been adjusted in the VALORANT Patch 8.01. Now, when Raze uses her Blast Pack to approach opponents in the air, the sound will progressively get louder.
The goal of this update is to provide foes with more audible clues to help them recognise when a Raze is using the Blast Pack to move in and attack.
