The hero-based tactical shooter from Riot Games has firmly established itself as one of the most popular games available. Today is the one-year anniversary of Valorant’s debut, and Riot is embracing the occasion with a month-long event that includes player prizes, the first public proclamation of player counts, and a surprise announcement. Valornat was launched on exactly this day, one year ago on 2 June 2020 in the middle of the Covid Pandemic.
It’s not simple to launch a game during a pandemic and keep gamers interested, but Riot Games did an excellent job with their planning. Many new agents have been introduced to the game, as well as new maps and balance adjustments. The creators have established a solid platform for long-term success, and it will be interesting to see how the games perform in the coming years.
Valorant established themselves as one of the most popular game in one year itself. It got an enormous amount of love and support from its fans. It’s just one year still, Valorant able to penetrate the Esports Scenario. In just one year, Valorant established a global esports ecosystem with various divisions. The Valorous Champions Tour just finished its second major event of 2021, which also happened to be its first overseas event. During a global pandemic, all of this was miraculously done.
VALORANT ONE YEAR EVENTS
To celebrate the one-year launch of the game. Riot Games announced interesting events for the players which have their specific start and run times. Here is the list of the event for the one-year events.
NIGHT.MARKET (2nd June)
A different kind of market for all the Valorant Players where you will get a collection of six random skins available to purchase, discounted, and unique to you.
GIVE BACK BUNDLE (VOTING STARTS 2nd June)
You can vote to see which four of your favorite gun skins return in the Give Back Bundle—and it’s all for a good cause!
PLAYER CARDS (9th June)
You can get your favorite Valorant player cards, and collect the Limited Edition YR1 set with celebration as Episodes 1, 2, and 3.

Each of our global VALORANT regions will vote for a unique item like Sprays, Gun Buddies, and titles that best reflect their local region. The VALORANT dev team will review the top vote earners, with select items to appear in a future Community-powered Battlepass in Episode 4.
WWFEST RETURNS (25th June)
wwFest—the experimental music and art festival—spiked VALORANT into 2021 earlier this year and is now making its return to celebrate the YR1 party. This time, we will witness artists performing around the world, with an all-new headliner.
YR1 EVENT PASS (6/22 TO 7/6)
The biggest birthday gift is yet to be presented by Riot Games. The year 1 Event Pass is free for everyone. No prerequisites, no VP spend, just 7 levels of exclusive YR1 items like the Episode 3 Player Card, a Gun Buddy, and more. Just play your favorite game and unlock it by earning XP.

Over half a billion games were played in Valorant’s first year, which is a stunning figure. Riot now plans to expand the franchise beyond PC in order to capitalize on those excellent results and Valorant Mobile is the first stop.
