The hero-based tactical shooter from Riot Games has firmly established itself as one of the most popular games available. Today is the one-year anniversary of Valorant’s debut, and Riot is embracing the occasion with a month-long event that includes player prizes, the first public proclamation of player counts, and a surprise announcement. Valornat was launched on exactly this day, one year ago on 2 June 2020 in the middle of the Covid Pandemic.

Many new agents have been introduced to the game, as well as new maps and balance adjustments. The creators have established a solid platform for long-term success, and it will be interesting to see how the games perform in the coming years.
