Valorant India Invitational 2022 Grand Finals: Paper Rex Defeated Team Heretics and win the title – Paper Rex won Galaxy Racer Valorant India Invitational 2022 by defeating European Representatives Tea Heretics by 3-1 in best-of-five clashes. With this win Paper Rex secured a hefty prize of 50,000 USD. This also marks their 1ooth win in the Valorant esports circuit. This is also the first time any Asian team won any multinational championship involving a team from the West.

Valorant India Invitational 2022 Grand Finals
The first map of the day was played on Bind, picked by Team Heretics. Paper rex dominated the first half of this map having a 9-3 score, but we witnessed insane fightback from the side of Heretics it was Paper rex who eventually sealed the map with a score of 13-11.
The second map was Paper rex pick- Fracture. This map is said to be one of the strongest maps of Paper rex after Ascent. But it was Team Heretics, who surprised their opponent and won the map with an excellent margin of 13-6. Zeek from Heretics was a difference-maker. With this win overall score is tied at 1-1.
Before moving to map 3, the Competition was neck to neck as both teams were standing 1-1. The breeze was the third map of the day opted for by Team Heretics. Even on this map, we saw some insane clutches and team play from both sides. Despite trailing by 3-9, Team Heretics pulled this match to 11-13. But at the end of the day, Paper rex sealed the victory and also secured a lead of 2-1.
Map of Ascent was like do and die for Team Heretics, Hence they showed marvelous intent in the first half by leveling the score at 6-6. But brilliant play by F0rsaken in the second half snatched victory from the Europian titans.
After a commanding victory over Godsquad to open the tournament, Paper Rex was upset by Bleed. Paper Rex will next compete in the VCT in the VCT Kickoff competition in Brazil. The competition will serve as the season-opener for the VCT 2023 circuit, which will feature Masters competitions and regional splits.
