VALORANT Game Changers EMEA 2023: Vision and Format Changes The 2022 circuit came to an end with the VALORANT Game Changers International Championship, which G2 Gozen won after defeating Shopify Rebellion in a reverse sweep. Riot Games is already planning for the 2023 season. Riot has unveiled a new concept and structure for the 2023 Game Changers season that will stack competition to accommodate the range of competitive VALORANT players’ skill levels.
There will be a 16-team league on the new EMEA VCT Game Changers circuit. Based on their performance in regional competitions, which will position them in the Game Changers EMEA: Contenders series, teams will be qualified for the league. The top team in the open qualification portion of the series will be given a spot in the primary league. Direct invitations to the Game Changers EMEA league will be extended to the top four teams from 2022. The best teams from the EMEA league will then have the opportunity to represent the area at the Game Changer World Championship, which will take place again in 2023.
VCT Game Changers EMEA: Emergents
Women who have achieved Radiant status in the game’s Ranked system will have the chance to join a dedicated Discord community with a scoreboard and rewards thanks to the Emergents series. It appears that Riot will moderate this Discord, and in addition to conducting competitions, it will act as a hub for the most recent information. These initiatives will be connected to VCT Game. According to a press release, the Academy will concentrate on educational material with the goal of giving the Game Changers community “a chance to learn more about vocations inside the VALORANT ecosystem.”
VCT Game Changers EMEA: contenders
A new category of competitions will be launched as part of the Contenders series, where the top-performing team will be awarded a spot in the Main Event, as opposed to competing in qualifications directly for Challenger events. Open Qualifiers will be used in these tournaments themselves to reduce the number of competitors. Although there will be a 16-team league for the VCT Game Changers EMEA, only 12 slots will be available through contender tournaments, with the remaining four going to the teams that placed in the top four according to circuit points in the most recent GC season.
