VALORANT Champions Group Stage Day 2: FUT and EG clean sweep opponents, DRX secures Playoffs spot – On the second day of VALORANT Champions 2023 Los Angeles, the Group B matches were held. Moreover, we also witnessed the first team to secure a spot in the Playoffs stage. Here are the highlights of the Day 2 matches.

FUT Esports takes down T1
FUT Esports began their journey at VALORANT Champions 2023 run with an easy 2-0 win over T1. The first map of the series was Pearl and FUT completely crushed their opponents to secure a 13-4 win. They carried their momentum to the second map Haven and were able to get a comfortable 13-7 victory over T1. Many people were surprised by FUT’s clean performance in the series and now have high hopes regarding their run in the competition.
Day 2 featured major debuts and a battle for the first Playoff spot.

Evil Geniuses clean sweep FunPlus Phoenix
Evil Geniuses also displayed a dominant performance in their Group B opening match against FunPlus Phoenix. EG secured victories in both the first map Ascent and the second map Pearl with 13-8 round scores over FPX. The VCT Masters Tokyo finalists look unstoppable and will now face FUT in the winner’s match on Tuesday to see which team will be the first to qualify for Playoffs from Group B.
DRX triumph over Natus Vincere
DRX beat Natus Vincere in a thrilling series to become the first team to secure a playoffS spot in VALORANT Champions 2023. In the first map Bind, DRX had to outlast Navi in overtime to secure victory with a 15-13 round score. Navi equalized the series by winning on the second map Split with a 13-9 round score. The third map Lotus also went into overtime and it was DRX that finally managed to register a 14-12 win. DRX fans will hope that their team has a victorious run in the Playoffs stage too.
On Day 3 of the VALORANT Champions 2023, Group C will kick off their matches. Moreover, the winner’s match between EG and FUT will also be held to decide the second team that will qualify for the Playoffs.
