The initial VCT LAN tournaments were held in a remote area of Reykjavik, Iceland, so that participants could maintain their safety and the sense of fair play that a LAN environment provides. Valorant Champions 2022 marked a significant turning point for Valorant esports, and 2023 is predicted to be even more significant with the launch of the international leagues. In February, Sao Paulo, Brazil, will host the opening ceremony for 2023. After the kickoff event, the Americas League, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) league, and Pacific League regular seasons will start.
If the VCT decides to play the championship event in the United States this year, Los Angeles is a possible host city. Other esports have also hosted important competitions in Los Angeles and the neighbourhood, such as the Overwatch League Grand Finals in Anaheim in November of last year.
Riot’s first franchised VCT leagues will be held in Los Angeles. From February 1 to March 17 for the first split and later for the second, ten partnered teams from South and North America will take part in it. Additionally, Riot Games’ headquarters are located there. The only Masters event of the year’s location has only recently been revealed by the organisers, Tokyo will be the location.
