VALORANT fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating the third-ever World Championship set to take place in North America for the first time in 2023. The highly anticipated tournament will reach its climax at the prestigious Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. As the culmination of a thrilling first year of partnership, this event promises to be nothing short of extraordinary.
A total of 16 teams from the Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China regions will compete in a riveting four-group round-robin group stage. This stage will determine the top eight teams that will advance to the double-elimination playoff bracket. With only one team able to claim the coveted title of VALORANT World Champion, the competition is bound to be fierce as these elite teams battle it out.
Valorant Champions 2023: All Qualified Teams
Several teams have already secured their spots in the VALORANT Champions 2023. Among them are renowned organizations such as:
- Fnatic
- Team Liquid
- FUT Esports
- Evil Geniuses
- NRG, LOUD
- Paper Rex
- DRX
- T1.
These teams have exhibited exceptional skill and prowess throughout the VCT season and Masters Tokyo, earning their rightful place in the prestigious tournament.
Teams through LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier)
However, there are still a number of open slots to be decided in the upcoming regional Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQs). In China, three teams will emerge from the intense qualifier, adding to the already impressive lineup. In the EMEA region, two teams will secure their places in the World Championship, with an additional spot available due to Fnatic’s triumphant victory at the VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo. The Americas and Pacific regions will also have their representatives, as one team from each LCQ will earn the opportunity to compete for the ultimate title.
Riot Games has announced that the LCQs will commence in mid-July and will not feature the recently unveiled agent, Deadlock. This decision ensures that teams will rely solely on their existing strategies and agent pools, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the qualifiers.
