In one series, the first grand finalist team was decided. On the other hand, winning the second series guaranteed a third-place finish in the tournament. It was LOUD who swept OpTic Gaming by 2-0 to secure the finals spot in the tournament. DRX also kept their momentum, securing a 2-0 clean sweep over FunPlus Phoenix. Both teams were quite close in the first map of the series, winning an equal number of rounds in the first half. LOUD popped off in the second half and bagged the map to register a lead.

The second map was a completely one-sided affair. LOUD dominated OpTic to secure a quick victory and win the series 2-0. With this win, LOUD has become the first grand finalist team of VALORANT Champions 2022.
Lower Bracket Semifinal
DRX VS FUNPLUS PHOENIX
DRX and FunPlus Phoenix fought intensely in the first map of the series. Unfortunately for FPX, it was DRX who held their nerves and took a 1-0 lead in the series.
The second map produced a show of dominance from both teams. While FPX took a sizeable lead in the first half, DRX came back even stronger in the second half with a 10-round win streak. It helped them bag the map and the series.

After getting defeated by LOUD, OpTic Gaming has not yet been eliminated from the tournament. They will now face DRX in the lower bracket finals and must win the qualify for the grand finals of the tournament.
