VALORANT Champions 2022 Playoffs Day 2: NA teams triumph over EU; OpTic Gaming and XSET qualify for upper bracket semifinals – Day 2 of the VALORANT Champions playoffs was North America versus Europe showdown. We witnessed many incredible clutch moments from the teams. Ultimately, both NA teams (OpTic Gaming and XSET) were the ones to win and advance to the upper bracket semifinals. OPTIC GAMING VS TEAM LIQUID
The first series of the day was a highly intense one. Team Liquid took a 1-0 lead by securing the first map. But OpTic did not surrender and the team won back-to-back maps to register a 2-1 victory.
With this win, OpTic Gaming has qualified for the upper bracket semifinals while Team Liquid’s loss moves them into the lower bracket.
XSET VS FNATIC
XSET continue to showcase their dominant performance in the tournament. The NA team dominated their EU counterpart, Fnatic in both games of the series.
They won the first map quite easy to take the lead. Despite Fnatic’s efforts in making a comeback in the second map, XSET shut them down and secured a clean 2-0 sweep over them.
XSET advances into the upper bracket semifinals of VALORANT Champions 2022 while Fnatic has been pushed down to the lower bracket.
