With only less than one month left for VALORANT Champions 2022, All the Teams who will be in action have finally decided. Teams from a variety of regions have previously qualified for this major competition. Sixteen teams will travel to Istanbul, Turkey, for the chance to compete for the biggest trophy of the year and a prize fund of more than $1 million. What you need to know, including how to watch, is provided below.
Qualified Teams so Far
The 10 teams who qualified for the Valorant Champions via VCT points are currently known. The only teams whose identities are still unknown are those from the various Last Chance Qualifiers. As new information becomes available, it will be updated.
After defeating fellow Indonesian team ONIC Esports in the APAC Last Chance Qualifier’s championship match, Indonesian VALORANT squad BOOM Esports qualified for VALORANT Champions 2022. (LCQ)
The slots are distributed as follows:
- 3 Slots for the NA region 2 pre-qualified teams + 1 team via the LCQ NA.
- 4 Slots for South America 1 Slot for Brazil + 1 Slot for the LATAM region + 2 Slots via the LCQ SA.
- 3 Slots for the EMEA region 2 pre-qualified teams + 1 team via the LCQ EMEA (including MENA).
- 1 Slot for Korea + 1 Slot for Japan + 2 Slots for the South East Asia region. These areas will participate in the 2 APAC LCQs (North and South), which offer 2 additional slots.
VALORANT CHAMPIONS 2022: SCHEDULE AND FORMAT
As part of the title’s ongoing tour of Europe, Valorant Champions 2022 is scheduled to run from September 2, 2022, to September 18, 2022, in Istanbul, Turkey. It will pave the ground for the modifications to the franchising system in 2023 and is significantly earlier in the year than Valorant Champions 2021.
It is anticipated that the format of Valorant Champions 2022 will be the same as the inaugural last event, Before a single-elimination bracket determines who will move to the next round, 16 teams in four groups of four teams compete for eight playoff berths in the GSL.
WHERE TO WATCH:
Live broadcasts of VALORANT Champions 2022 will be available on all significant channels, including Twitch and YouTube. The VALORANT Champions Tour channel will officially stream the games on YouTube. The matches will be broadcast live on Twitch’s VALORANT Esports channel. The official stream partners of VALORANT Esports will also provide access to broadcasts in several languages.
