VALORANT Champions 2022 Finals: Brazil stands on top with LOUD crowned as the second world champions of VALORANT- The rivalry chapter between OpTic Gaming and LOUD finally comes to a close at the grandest stage of VALORANT. The two teams found themselves in each other’s crosshairs multiple times throughout the year.
In both confrontations, it was OpTic who had gained the upper hand. They had even defeated LOUD at the VCT 2022 Stage 1 Masters Reykjavik finals. But this time, LOUD have gotten their revenge by beating their nemesis in the grand finals of the biggest VALORANT tournament of 2022. Let us take a look at the grand finals matchup.

Game 1
Both teams fought intensely on the first map. OpTic had the lead at first, but LOUD’s aspas produced some incredible plays helping his team recover and force overtime. There, LOUD managed to beat OpTic and take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Game 2
Despite losing the previous map by a narrow margin, OpTic players were not disheartened. They bounced back on the second map with a dominant performance. In the first half, OpTic secured 10 rounds, making it easier for them to close the map. They leveled the series with a 13-6 score on the second map.
Game 3
The third map became the longest one of the series. With both teams refusing to surrender, the number of rounds being won by them was equal in both halves of the map. The teams traded rounded back-and-forth, forcing overtime multiple times. Ultimately, it was LOUD who bagged the third map to gain a 2-1 lead in the series.

Game 4
Despite being at match point, LOUD and OpTic still looked even on the fourth map. By the end of the first half, both teams had a round score of 7-5 score respectively. But it looked like the pressure ultimately got to OpTic Gaming and they crumbled in the second half.
LOUD triumphed in six rounds straight during the second half to register a dominating win. It helped them close out the series with a 3-1 victory, beating OpTic Gaming to be crowned as the second world champions of VALORANT.
This win cements Brazil as a dominating force on the international stage, giving the region its first major trophy.
