VALORANT Champions 2021: Here is Day 1 Matches Results and Highlights. After 2 matches of one-sided domination by each team, we saw the pretty intense match of Cloud9 vs Fnatic. Match 2: Team Viking vs Crazy Racoons (2-0)

The second sweep of the day occurred when Team Vikings defeated Crazy Raccoon. With a win over Crazy Raccoon, Team Vikings came out on top in what some may call a fight for the bottom. Both teams earned Circuit Points in their respective leagues to qualify for Champions. The two teams battled it out at Icebox and Haven. With a 13-9 score on Icebox and a 13-8 score on Haven, Team Vikings came out on top.

Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi, the match MVP, was the controller wizard for Team Vikings on both maps. With 48 kills, 28 deaths, and 20 assists, he finished the series with a 1.7 KD.

Match 3: Cloud9 vs  Fnatic (1-2)

In the first meeting between North America vs EMEA in Champions, Europe triumphed. Fnatic had not performed on the international stage since May’s Masters: Reykjavik. They were an unknown coming into their match against a hot Cloud9, with little previous information of the team’s playstyle. The two teams made it as intriguing as possible by going to double overtime on the third map of the series, in a typical EMEA vs NA manner.

Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev, Fnatic’s match MVP, demonstrated that he is still one of the finest Jett players in the world. Derke finished series one with a 1.37 KD and 74 kills overall, after dropping 30 kills on Icebox alone.
