VALORANT Champions 2021 Day 4: For the Quarterfinals spots, Gambit came back against Team Vikings, and Team Liquid defeat Sentinels. The Day 4 of the VALORANT Champions 2021 was a huge event for everyone as two Quarterfinals spots were up for grabs. While Team Vikings were looking upset the Berlin Masters winner, it was Gambit who made a heroic comeback in the third map to clinch the first Quarterfinals spot of the day. In the second match series Sentinels also looked confident to advance further after a dominating performance in map 2. But it was Team Liquid who defeated them to obtain the second Quarterfinals spot of the day.

TEAM VIKINGS VS GAMBIT ESPORTS

The first map was Split and both teams were neck-to-neck after the first half with a 7-5 round score. But Gambit dominated Team Vikings and won the map with a 13-6, losing only one round in the second half. In the second map, Bind, Team Vikings showed a beautiful performance and took the lead against Gambit from the first half with an 8-5 round score. The second half was similar as Team Vikings only dropped one round to Gambit while winning five in return. Thus Bind went to Team Vikings with a 13-5 score. In the first half of the third map, which was Icebox, Team Vikings continued their dominance with a 9-3 round score. But Gambit made a heroic comeback in the second half by winning nine consecutive rounds to force overtime. They won both the overtime rounds and qualified for the Quarterfinals by winning the series 2-1.

SENTINELS VS TEAM LIQUID

The first map was Breeze and both Sentinels and Team Liquid played well to enforce overtime. In the first half, Sentinels looked strong by taking an 8-4 lead, but Team Liquid made a comeback in the second half with their own 8-4 score. Team Liquid won both rounds in overtime to be the victors of Breeze. Sentinels made a comeback in the second map, Bind. In the first half, they took a 10-2 lead over Team Liquid and won three rounds consecutively in the second half to make themselves the winners of Bind. Both teams fought neck-to-neck in the third map, Split. In the first half, Team Liquid and Sentinels had an equal 6-6 round score. But Team Liquid was able to come on top in the second half and get 7 round wins against Sentinels’ 4 rounds. Thus Team Liquid won Split with a 13-10 score and qualified for the Quarterfinals by winning the series 2-1.
