Twitch lifts ban from streamers Amouranth and Indiefoxx after 3 long days: Many female streamers are getting a ban on twitch recently for doing controversial ASMR streams on the platform which do not comply with the community guidelines of twitch. Many streamers have now shifted to the ASMR meta on twitch which is full of controversy. Finally, after 3 long days of them getting banned, Twitch decided to give them another chance. Twitch officially lifted the ban from streamers The Amouranth and Indiefoxx on 21st of June.
ASMR meta includes streaming of inappropriate content for a particular age group of users, which is the reason why popular streamers are getting a ban. Twitch is a popular platform known for its trends. Recently, the Hot tub meta was trending yet controversial meta. ASMR is its own category with 2.4 Million followers, which encompasses ear-tingling ASMR streams that do not cross the boundaries of twitch’s rules unless someone decides to create some controversial content.
Amouranth and Indiefoxx were also previously involved in controversial hot tub meta streams where Amoranth’s channel got demonetized due to inappropriate streams. And now once again the two streamers are involved in controversial streams of the ASMR meta. Their streams crossed the boundaries of Twitch’s community guidelines forbidding content that isn’t quite sexual in nature but is still too risky for a platform deeply self-conscious about its advertising business.
Both the streamers received an official ban from twitch on Friday 19th of June 2021. Indiefoxx jokingly tweeted on Friday saying, “They saw how hard we’ve been working and wanted to give us the weekend off.” Surprisingly it turns out to be true, the ban was lifted after the weekend and became a hot topic on Twitter. It would be expected from them to follow all community guidelines and not create any content that is controversial in nature.
