TI12: Valve announces the location of 2023 The International 12, DOTA 2’s largest international esports event – The International is DOTA 2’s largest event of every year and it marks the end of the DOTA Pro Circuit (DPC) season. It is organized by Valve and boasts a massive prize pool. Yesterday, Valve announced that the tournament will be returning to North America for its 12th iteration. The International 2023 is going to be held in October in Seattle, Washington DC. The tournament will be held in the Climate Pledge Arena.

Schedule
The world’s best DOTA teams will qualify and compete to lift the Aegis of Champions. The group stage of The International 12 will begin on Saturday, Oct. 14. It will be followed by the playoff matches. Both of these events will be hosted under The Road to the International Banner.
The International 12 main stage event will kick off on Friday, Oct. 27, and will continue until the Grand Finals which will be held on Sunday, Oct. 29.
TI12: Invite Format and Prize Pool
The invite format for The International 2023 is similar to the one used in the previous year. It will be a point-based system where teams gain points as per their performances in the Regional Leagues and Majors competitions.
The prize pool for The International 12 has not yet been announced by Valve. But considering the competition’s history, it is going to be a huge amount.

Qualified Teams
Till now, only Team Liquid has officially qualified for The International 2023. A total of 12 teams (including Team Liquid) will qualify for TI12 through their DOTA Pro Circuit points.
Apart from that, six teams will also be able to qualify through last-chance regional qualifiers. The six regions where it will be held are North America, South America, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, China, and Southeast Asia.
