The Last of Us 2 Wins 38th Golden JoyStick Awards, Fall Guys Wins Best Multiplayer Game

We have admired the “Golden Joystick Awards” voted by players for the past 40 years. On 25 Nov, awards were announced for the winners for this year. Amongst the prestigious awards that span the game/e-sports category, various games won the awards.

After the mixed reviews of “The Last of Us” and the developer Naughty Dog Studio, they won six awards and became the biggest winner. Another Sony game “War Ghosts on the Horse” was shortlisted for four awards, but in the end, none of them won the prize, becoming the biggest bead.

The “Golden Rocker Award” had a total of 24 awards this year, of which only 5 were selected by the judging panel, and the rest were selected by 100% of the players. Among them, The Last of Us Two-Part” successfully won the “Best Five awards including “Story”, “Best Visual Design”, “Best Sound Effect”, “PlayStation Game of the Year”, and “Ultimate Game of the Year”. Its developer Naughty Dog were also awarded the “Development Team of the Year”.

Apart from this, there were also few games in some categories such as:

  •  “War Ghosts of the Horse” developed by Sucker Punch Productions game studio also won “Best Sound Effects”, “Best Story”, “Best Visual Design” and “PlayStation Game of the Year”, etc.
  • “Mobile Game of the Year” was won by “Lego Builder’s Journey”.

  • “Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout” won two awards including “Best Multiplayer Game” and “Best Family Game”.
  • The “Best Continuous Operation” and “Best Game Community” were awarded to “Minecraft”.
  • “Computer Game of the Year” won by “Death Stranding”.
  • “Xbox Game of the Year” won by “Light of the Holy Spirit” “Winning the first prize, “Nintendo Game of the Year”.
