The Game Awards 2022 will be hosted at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles (same as last year). The event will be broadcasted online on Dec. 9 at 6 AM IST on The Game Awards YouTube and Twitch channels. It is going to have 31 categories and the organization has recently announced the nominations for all of them.

The Game Awards has an advisory committee that includes representatives from leading gaming hardware manufacturers like Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, and AMD. Many large game publishers are also a part of this committee.
The role of this committee is to select organizations that in turn nominate and subsequently vote on the video games in the numerous categories. Otherwise of this, the advisory committee does not participate in the nomination or voting process in any way.
