The Esports Awards 2022: Mortal finishes Second at Esports Personality of the Year category- The Esports Awards ceremony honours individuals in a variety of categories for their accomplishments in esports on a global scale. The well-known PUBG Mobile streamer and content creator Naman “Mortal” Mathur was the only Indian to be nominated for an Esports Award in the category of the personality of the year this year. After a close race, Nadeshot was named the year’s top personality, and Mortal came in second.
Along with 11 other individuals from around the world, Soul Mortal, aka Naman Mathur, was nominated for the Esports Personality of the Year award. S1mple, Sjokz, Ocelote, Gaules, Faker, Hecz, Goldenboy, Nadeshot, Cherrygumms, Nobru, and Moistcrtikal are the other contenders in this category.

Additionally, MortaL placed second in the “Streamer of the Year” category in 2020. In fact, Mortal received a nomination for 2020’s Esports Player of the Year, where he placed third. Also at the 2021 Esports Awards, Mortal finished second in the Streamer of the Year award to Spanish YouTuber Ibai. It appears that Mortal’s streak of placing runner-up is still going strong.
Former Call of Duty player Matthew “Nadeshot” is the owner and co-founder of 100 Thieves, a major Esports organisation that was recently valued at $460 million by Forbes. It then becomes the second-most valued Esports organisation in 2022.
S8UL Esports won Content Group of the year
At the Esports Awards 2022, S8UL Esports has been named the winner in the category of “Content Group of the Year.” The prize honours the achievements of a particular group and its founders throughout the previous calendar year. The adored Indian group received the prize after competing against nine other nominees, including groups like 100 Thieves, LOUD, Faze Clan and others.
