T1 Faker returns to LCK after month-long rest due to injury
In the first half of the LCK Summer Split 2023, T1’s performance did not look as good as it was in the previous split. The situation worsened when Faker had to go on a break to recover from right arm injury a month ago.

In this period, T1 faced off against 8 teams in the LCK and lost 7 times. The substitute midlaner from T1’s Challenger roster, Poby was not able to help his team escape from this disastrous scenario. The other members of T1 also played poorly in game, showcasing that the absence of Faker had negatively affected the team’s morale.
But it seems T1’s fortunes have returned with Faker joining the playing roster in their match against Kwangdong Freecs (KDF) on Aug. 2. T1 took down KDF in a dominant fashion with a 2-0 series victory. In both games, T1 played almost flawlessly. They secured almost all map objectives and were able to close out the two games within 23 minutes.
In the past two weeks it looked like T1 would lose in the first round of Playoffs and some even questioned whether the team could qualify for the League of Legends World Championship 2023. This performance is a good sign for T1 and if they continues showcasing this level of gameplay, it will allow them to regain their form by the time the LCK Summer 2023 Playoffs begin.

Faker’s return has not only increased the morale of T1 but it has also reignited their chance of winning the LCK Summer Split 2023. But the road ahead is tough with other LCK teams looking more ferocious and well-organized by them.
