SuperGaming Unveils Indus X Fortnite, Check more details here – SuperGaming, a leading gaming company based in India, made a significant announcement during the India Game Developer Conference 2023 in Hyderabad. They revealed their latest project, Indus, a Made-in-India battle royale game, which will be fully playable within the popular title Fortnite on PC and macOS.
SuperGaming Unveils Indus X Fortnite
Indus Battle Royale, developed by Pune-based SuperGaming, known for creating games like MaskGun and Silly Royale, will allow players to delve into its gameplay, map, and various modes within the Fortnite gaming universe. What makes this feat remarkable is that it was achieved by a two-woman team at SuperGaming using Epic Games’ Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) in a mere 27 days.
Bringing Indo-Futurism to a Global Stage
The integration of Indus into Fortnite is part of SuperGaming’s strategy to introduce the concept of Indo-Futurism to a broader international audience. Christelle D’cruz, the co-founder of SuperGaming, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating, “This will allow us to test Indus’ gameplay with external audiences faster and give more gamers a chance to experience Indo-Futurism through their game of choice — Fortnite.”
Upcoming Launch Plans
While the closed beta of Indus for mobile platforms is scheduled for the festive season, Indus in Fortnite is being designed as a distinct gaming experience for PC and macOS within Fortnite Creator Mode. The exact release date for this integration will be announced soon. The game introduces a unique win condition called “Cosmium,” allowing players to achieve victory by capturing this special in-game resource that manifests on the map.
Global Reach and Player Engagement
Roby John, CEO and co-founder at SuperGaming emphasized the importance of reaching a global audience, stating, “With Fortnite having an estimated 220 million monthly players globally, there’s no better way to bring Indus and Indo-Futurism to the world.” SuperGaming intends to engage players by allowing them to share their feedback and influence the game’s development, following a player-centric approach similar to their previous successful titles, MaskGun and Silly Royale.
A Track Record of Success
MaskGun, a popular multiplayer shooter developed by SuperGaming, has already garnered over 80 million players since its launch. The game’s success can be attributed to its strong focus on prioritizing the player experience, with key community members even making appearances in the game. Moreover, the game has celebrated India-specific events, such as Diwali.
