Bringing together the rich 5,000-year-old mythological history of ancient India with strategic gameplay, immersive art, and a deep progression system, Kurukshetra: Ascension (in MVP) is the studio’s first title.
Indian mythology and history will be incorporated into future titles and define a new genre of cool, global games featuring Indian content for both Indians and foreigners.
One of Lumikai’s General Partners, Salone Sehgal, said, “We have been deeply impressed by Abhaas and Prateek’s blue-sky thinking, innovative ideas, and games design insights, coupled with their speed of execution.”.
As Indian gamers become increasingly sophisticated, they are demanding more world-class IP with culturally resonant content. As part of our belief that high-quality games with original IP and that are developed in India first can unlock value, we focus heavily on mid-core games. Our support of Studio Sirah on their ambitious journey demonstrates that trailblazer phenomena exist in gaming.
