Sony revealed the most-downloaded games on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in 2021- Sony revealed the most-downloaded games on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on PSN in 2021, with Call of Duty slipping for the first time in years. For the Sony PlayStation 5 system, NBA 2K22 topped the charts in the US and Canada, while FIFA 22 topped the charts in Europe. Among the top five games in the US/Canada and Europe, Call of Duty: Vanguard came in second in both regions, while Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Battlefield 2042 also made the top five in North America and Europe.
A major development in the world of gaming is Call of Duty ending its multi-year run as PSN’s top game. One of the biggest success stories of 2021 is Among Us, which landed at No. 6 in Europe, which is very impressive considering the game was released halfway through December; it performed better than other juggernauts like Far Cry 6 and Resident Evil Village.
Grand Theft Auto V was the most downloaded video game on PlayStation 4 in the US and Canada for the year, seven years after it was originally released on the platform. The most-downloaded PSVR game across all regions was Beat Saber, while Fortnite was the most popular free-to-play game. Check out the charts below for more information.
