The first day of the Valorant SEA Championship finally concluded with disappointments for Indian fans as both Velocity gaming and God Squad (Formar Global Esports) failed to impress, Both representatives lost their match with a final score of 2-0. VELOCITY GAMING vs MITH
The very first map of the match was played on Fracture, MITH dominated Velocity from the start of the early round, and it was the 7th round when Velocity gaming get its breakthrough. In the first half score stands at 8-4 in favour of MITH. After half-time Velocity gaming showed some counter-attack but MITH comfortably sealed the map with a 13-8 score.
The second map of the first game was Velocity gaming pick, Despite taking a good start for a few rounds, Velocity gaming crumbled on very badly later on and MITH Gaming also secured this map with dominating 13-8 score.
GOD SQUAD vs BLEED Esports
It was more like a Redemption match for Bleed Esports as in the last encounter they got hammered by God squad in a very close encounter. The first map was Icebox picked by Bleed Esports. The second map was Haven picked by God Squad, Dereyon from Bleed Sports had every answer to God Squad’s attack as his operator caught every move by GS. After the first half score stands at 7-5, which was even. But the Second half turns out to be disastrous for God Squad as Bleed secured a map as well as the match with 13-8 and 2-0 scores respectively.
Both Bleed Esports and MITH will collide with each other in the upper bracket finals tomorrow, on the other hand, GOD SQUAD and Velocity gaming has to sail through the lower bracket.
There were two qualifying rounds in all, one for the SEA region and one for the Indian region, to determine which teams would advance to the playoffs. The Skyesports SEA Championship Playoffs, a two-day event, will take place from November 23–25, 2022. The winner of the SEA Championship will be decided by a double-elimination tournament amongst the four teams GodSquad, Velocity Gaming, Bleed Esports, and Made in Thailand. Except for the Grand Finals, which will feature a best-of-five matchup, other contests will be best-of-three affairs.
