Skyesports Championship Series 2022: Riot Games and Skyesports partners to host South Asia Qualifiers into the APAC VCT Challengers Stage 2- Skyesports and Riot Games will come together to host the Skyesports Championship Series (SCS) 2022. South Asian teams can participate in this tournament. The top two teams will qualify for the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Stage 2 APAC Challengers event. The last stage of the SCS 2022 will be conducted in an offline LAN environment in Chennai, India. Teams will compete for a total prize pool of $30,000 and a spot at the APAC VCT Challengers.
Skyesports Championship Series 2022: Tournament Details
The SCS 2022 will be conducted in May and June. It will comprise of:
- Phase 1: Open Qualifiers for India and the Rest of South Asia
- Phase 2: Group Stage League
- Phase 3: Playoffs
Registrations for the SCS 2022 have been opened. Teams can submit their names on the official website until May 7. Players and teams from the South Asian countries, namely India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri
Lanka, Maldives, and Bangladesh can participate in this tournament.
Skyesports Championship Series 2022: Schedule
The schedule for the tournament will be as follows:
- Registrations: May 1st – 7th
- India Qualifiers: May 9th – 15th
- Rest of South Asia Qualifiers: May 9th – 16th
- Group Stage (Phase 2): May 19th – 24th
- Playoffs (Phase 3): May 31st – June 5th
Skyesports Championship Series 2022: Format
The registered participants will compete across two open qualifiers, one for India, and another for the rest of the South Asian countries. Two teams from the Indian qualifier and two teams from the South Asian qualifier will advance to the Phase 2: Group Stage League of SCS 2022. Here, the four teams will battle with the eight invited teams from the previous Valorant South Asian Qualifiers’ Playoffs Stage.
The invited teams will be:
- Velocity Gaming
- Global Esports
- Enigma Gaming
- Team Exploit
- God Particles
- Excel Esports
- Khumbu Esports
- Union Gaming.
For the Phase 2 part, the tournament organizers will host a Draw Show to divide the 12 teams into two groups of six teams each. In the Group Stage League, the teams will compete in a single-robin format. The three teams ranking at the top of their respective groups will advance to the Playoffs of Skyesports Championship Series 2022. In Phase 3: Playoffs, the six teams that have qualified will compete against each other in a double-elimination format.

Select matches from the open qualifiers, along with the entire Phase 2 and Phase 3 will be broadcasted live on Skyesports’ YouTube and Rooter channels. Fans can tune in to witness the live action between the participating teams.
