Similar to the headquarters of Garena, Razer, and many others, whose headquarters are established in Singapore, The Nova Hyper Esports plans to do the same for some strategic development reasons. The company believes establishing its headquarters in Singapore will turn out beneficial for the growth of the company as it will build an international profile for the company, connect to its global fanbase, and develop exciting commercial collaborations worldwide. Singapore will also act as the central hub of operations for existing teams based in the US and Europe.
Wong added, “We have been very impressed by the exceptional performances of Nova Esports’ international teams this year and we hope to achieve greater milestones in the future. We also intend to build our presence in Southeast Asia and compete in game titles that are popular in the region. We are confident that we can carry on the strong winning tradition of Nova and achieve success internationally.”
Teams competing in popular mobile esports titles like PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty: Mobile becomes Hyperlive’s growing legion of esports brands that it manages and operates. They further plan to expand their roster list by acquiring new teams in regions like Thailand and Indonesia where esports/gaming communities are growing exponentially.
Nova Hyper also plans to set up a local esports academy to promote esports as a profession in the coming months. The aim is to attract and nurture top esports talents from the region and compete on the world stage. This will grow Singapore’s esports industry and establish the island nation as a dominant force in the esports arena.
