Shroud suggests the new ICARUS game is “one of the greatest survival games ever made.” After playing the beta for ICARUS, a PvE session-based survival game, Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek says it’ll be the best one yet. The ICARUS project has been gaining a lot of attention since its unveiling at the PC Gaming Show in 2020.
The game is a session-based cooperative survival game similar to Escape From Tarkov in which players have to gather resources on an alien world. Their goal is to make it back to the space station alive by crafting tools, building structures, hunting wildlife, and more. Dedicated players aren’t the only ones excited about it. Despite his fandom for the genre for a long time now, Shroud proclaimed that this is going to be “one of the best survival games he’s ever played.”
Shroud suggests the new ICARUS game is “one of the greatest survival games ever made.”
Do you think this game is fun or is it dookie? There is nothing dookie about this game. That’s far away! This is a beta, though, so it should behave like one,” he said. The game is so enjoyable that he has proclaimed it to be the best survival game he’s ever played. When it comes out, I think this will be one of the best survival games ever made. It’s not really a concern for me. Yes, I do. It’s all thoughtless.”
Though he didn’t explain exactly why he does believe if you play the game for just five minutes you’ll agree with him. “Even if you play just a few minutes, how do you fail to see it? Is that not clear to you?” A launch date for ICARUS has been set for November 21, 2021. You can, however, test it out for yourself during the betas, which take place every weekend from 5 PM PST on Fridays until 10 PM PST on Sundays, during the lead-up to the release.
Only those who pre-purchased the game will be able to access the beta. Thus, you will need to make a decision and commit to it before you can get started. Nevertheless, you can form an initial impression by watching Shroud perform it.
