Scump, a ‘Call of Duty’ legend announces his retirement from the competition
Earlier today (January 18), Scump posted a five-minute video to Twitter announcing his retirement and showing footage of the retirement party. According to Scump, his attention had been split between competing, creating content, and maintaining fan interaction this season, leaving him “on the fence” about competing.
The greatest Call of Duty player of all time. Scump has had more impact on the success & growth of competitive Call of Duty than any other player to date & is one of the reasons why so many players & staff get to work in this industry that we all love so much. Love you, brother. https://t.co/7jFrgEFkl0

OpTic has confirmed that Brandon “Dashy” Otell will replace Scump in the starting lineup. It made sense to bring Brandon back; life’s too short to hold grudges or be mad at one another. I hope he uses this opportunity to be a good teammate.”
