Riot Games will provide humanitarian relief to the people of Ukraine- As the Russia-Ukraine conflict has been continuing for almost two weeks, a lot of people have been displaced, injured, or even fatally wounded in the war. Many large corporations have stepped out to provide support to the people of Ukraine who have been stuck in the crossfire. Riot Games has also announced its initiative to provide humanitarian relief to the people being affected by this crisis.
Riot Games announces donation of Battle Pass for relief measures
Riot has decided to help the people affected by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. They have announced that they will be donating the money collected from the sales of Battle Passes and skins from its various gaming titles. The money received from the sale of Battle Passes in Legends of Runeterra, VALORANT, Wild Rift, and Teamfight Tactics from 5th till 12th March will be included here. Apart from this, the revenue generated from the sale of the new Bee skins collection within League of Legends will also be included in this. Thus, players can be a part of this fundraiser initiative by purchasing the items listed above. It will give them a chance to help the people facing humanitarian crises in Ukraine.
Riot Games will provide relief by donating to 3 non-profit organizations
Apart from the players’ fundraiser initiative, Riot will also be donating $1 million USD from its own side to the humanitarian relief program. The money will be given to the following 3 humanitarian non-profit organizations active in Ukraine.
- Polish Red Cross
- International Medical Corps
- Doctors Without Borders (also called as Médecins Sans Frontières)
All the revenue generated from both Riot’s donation and the players’ fundraiser initiative will be directly sent for providing support to the people in Ukraine. The 3 international humanitarian non-profits will be responsible for providing relief to the regions affected by this war.
