Riot Games has announced the details of the second TeamFight Tactics: Fates Championship. The Championship will be held from 7 April to 9 April 2021 while regional qualifiers are currently going on around the world.
As the competitive scene of TeamFight Tactics is continuously growing, Riot Games is also working on increasing the opportunities for players with bigger prize pool events. The TeamFight Tactics: Fates Championship have a massive prize pool of $250,000 USD where 24 competitors will battle for a lion’s share of the prize pool.
QUALIFICATION PROCESS
This will be the first time when TeamFight Tactics Championship will be using a 3-day Swiss format in the final event.
- TeamFight Tactics: Fates Championship day 1: It will feature 24 players who will be sorted into 3 lobbies on the basis of their regional performance. Top 16 players will move to day 2 after 5 round of Swiss Play.
- TeamFight Tactics: Fates Championship day 2: Top 16 players from day one will participate in the 5 rounds of Swiss play where they will be sorted into 2 lobbies. Top 8 players will move to the final day.
- TeamFight Tactics: Fates Championship Day 3: Top 8 players will be competing to secure a win and obtain points. The first player who will secure 18 points will be declared as the TeamFight Tactics Fates Champion.
